Holcim Romania, official partner of the European Commission " Sustainable Energy Europe" Campaign

Holcim Romania joined the "Sustainable Energy Europe" Campaign with the project "Concrete with composite cements - a sustainable energy efficient and climate change fighting solution in construction industry", which reflects the company's efforts to mitigate the climate change.

The manufacturing of composite cements and the extension of their applications into concretes represent part of the methods applied by Holcim Romania in order to reduce the carbon footprint in constructions and increase the energy efficiency in buildings.

With this project, the company became an official partner of the campaign initiated by the European Commission. The local partners within this project are the Romania Green Building Council (RoGBC) and the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest.

The "Sustainable Energy Europe" initiative is part of the " Europe - Intelligent Energy" program, developed by the European Commission. Its objectives are the promotion of the sustainable energy production and efficient utilization all across Europe and the enhancement of the public awareness on these issues.
The initiative promotes and awards local, regional or international projects that reach the objectives of this program.

To develop environmental friendly products and to reduce their CO2 footprint represent priorities Holcim Romania is focusing on, as responsible consequences of its commitment to continuously improve efficiency of production, products and consumption and to preserve the natural resources.
