Holcim (Romania) invests for the eighth year in a row in dedicated programs aimed to contribute to both professional and personal development of the employees. This year, the company will invest almost EUR 1 million in training programs, which represents an increase by over 20% as compared to 2007.
The budget allocated for the development of the employees focuses on their continuous progress and evolution through complex leadership and management programs, or through dedicated seminars on communication and negotiation skills, time and priorities management, marketing, foreign languages, technical courses. The leadership competences represent one of the priorities of Holcim Group, by developing the company leaders' capacities for inspiring their colleagues and partners, motivate and sustain them in achieving their ambitious objectives.
"The training and development budget is an important indicator for Holcim (Romania), as it reflects the company's concern for the quality of its own human resources and we believe that the access to such training activities must be guaranteed to every employee. In the last years, the amounts allocated to training and development programs have grown up progressively, reaching almost a EUR 1 million level in 2008," declared Markus Wirth, General Manager of Holcim (Romania).
For this year, Holcim (Romania) estimates approximately 100 openings, in all fields of activity, especially in technical area, but also financial, sales and marketing. At the same time, the company intends to attract young candidates, with great potential, motivation and ambition for the department of product applications.
