Bucharest, May 10th, 2011 – Bogdan Dobre, 43, has recently become the new Concrete & Aggregates Director of Holcim Romania. He has been part of Holcim Romania team ever since 2000, and was previously the National Cement Sales Manager. Bogdan Dobre will succeed Anastas Dimovski in this position, who will continue his career within Holcim Group.

Bogdan Dobre started his activity with Holcim in 2000, being among the first series of company employees. As Regional Cement Sales Manager and then National Cement Sales Manager, the strategy he proposed and implemented in the industry, together with the sales team, enabled the creation of connections and solid partnerships between Holcim and its customers. The consistency in the application of this strategy over the last 11 years is one of the reasons why Holcim Romania is currently one of the most appreciated companies in the cement industry, due to the offer of integrated solutions for its customers, as well as the professionalism, technical knowledge and availability of the company’s sales team.

Bogdan Dobre graduated from the Organic Chemistry Faculty within Bucharest University, has an EMBA from Tiffin University, USA, and built his career by combining his experience gained as technologist engineer with the one acquired in sales in various industries. His previous experience includes also a two-year period spent within Danone Company. Bogdan Dobre is married and has two children.

"Bogdan Dobre’s promotion as Concrete and Aggregates Director is an accreditation of his professionalism, engagement and ambition to consolidate our position in the cement industry. For Holcim Romania, his promotion is another reason to trust our company assessment strategy based on internal resources and high-performing employees. Taking into account the remarkable results obtained by Bogdan with the cement sales team, I am fully convinced that he would successfully lead the Concrete and Aggregates division of Holcim Romania", declared Daniel Bach, General Manager of Holcim Romania.

“The last years were a period of achievements and successes, despite the financial crisis, when our main focus was orientation towards the customers’ needs and flexibility in finding the best solutions for them. I will continue this strategy in the Concrete and Aggregates Division, using the experience acquired over the last ten years on the cement market”, says Bogdan Dobre, Concrete & Aggregates Director of Holcim Romania.
