Under EUR 35.000 investment, Holcim launches a new premiere in Romania - an improved service for downloading palette cement bags. The service, called "Tail Forklift", consists in attaching a forklift behind the tow of the truck transporting palette cement bags. Holcim Romania is the first company offering, besides the distribution of palette cement bags, also the service for downloading them. Until now, the total investments Holcim made in Romania count EUR 300 mil.

Holcim investment in tail forklift aims at improving the quality of the services offered to its customers, and also at supplementing them by providing a new service for cement distribution. The clients benefit of several advantages. First of all, the time and the cost for downloading cement palettes are reduced. "Tail forklift" provides greater flexibility on the downloading program - it depends no longer of the client staff or downloading equipment availability. The risk of labor accidents while handling cement bags is diminished. Also, clients do not need additional staff to take care mostly of the downloading procedures.

"Holcim seeks to continuously develop new services, as we are preoccupied by the quality of the services provided to our customers, and always think about their comfort. By "Tail Forklift", we offer them the most simple and efficient way to download the trucks transporting cement bags, all additional advantages included" , said Markus Wirth, Country Manager Holcim (Romania).

Current clients buying from Holcim plant in Campulung Muscel benefit of this service. Soon it will be extended at national level, upon demand.
