Holcim Romania has appointed a new Marketing and Sales Director

Bucharest, May 21st, 2010 - Rossen Papazov was recently appointed as the new Marketing and Sales Director of Holcim Romania. A 37 year-old Bulgarian professional, Rossen Papazov has an extensive marketing experience, doubled by business know-how attained in his collaboration with Holcim, which spans 8 years, 5 in Holcim Bulgaria and 3 in Holcim Belgium. He succeeds François Laporte, who returned to his home country, France, after 3 years as head of the Marketing and Sales department in Holcim Romania. François Laporte was promoted as Commercial Director for Holcim Aggregates France.

Rossen Papazov started his career in Holcim Bulgaria in 2000 as Assistant to the CEO of Holcim Bulgaria and was very soon promoted as Business Development Manager. Starting 2002, Rossen Papazov became Country Financial Management Specialist of the World Bank for Bulgaria and Macedonia. Later on, his career continued with Holcim, in the position of General Manager for the Aggregates and Ready Mixed Concrete division of the Bulgarian subsidiary. He then worked as Director of Marketing in Holcim Belgium for 3 years. Before Holcim, his experience also includes 3 years with Arthur Andersen Bulgaria as Senior Consultant in the Audit and Business Advisory team.

Rossen Papazov has an MA in Finance at the University of National and World Economics of Sofia, Bulgaria, and an MBA at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
