8 Februarie 2012

Holcim Romania estimates an increase of 90 % as compared to 2005 for its own ready-mixed concrete sales, cumulated for the cities of Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Satu Mare, Timisoara, Targu Mures, Brasov, Campulung, Craiova, Sibiu, Pitesti and Ploiesti. The sales volume growth is mainly due to adding four new locations to the existing ones - Brasov, Targu Mures, Timisoara, Campulung, and to the increase in volume of residential and industrial projects.

Holcim Romania operates own ready-mixed concrete plants in Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Satu Mare, Timisoara and Targu Mures to serve the markets in these cities.

"This year we have delivered ready-mixed concrete for various projects: residential and office buildings, hypermarkets and malls, production facilities, water supply and treatment stations, and industrial facilities. The construction projects in the six cities have grown both in volume and in number, Cluj-Napoca being the city registering the most important sales volume," said Mircea Tusinean, Concrete and Aggregates Regional Director - North, Holcim Romania.

The ready-mixed concrete plants owned and operated by Holcim Romania in Brasov, Campulung, Craiova, Sibiu, Pitesti and Ploiesti serve the markets in the center and south region.

"In 2006, the industrial construction projects- storage and production facilities- obtained the first place both in volume and in number, and were followed by projects for building commercial centers and industrial parks, office buildings, infrastructure and private residences. Out of the six cities, Sibiu had the largest share in the total sales volume," said Gabriel Mateescu, Concrete and Aggregates Regional Director- South, Holcim Romania.

The ready-mixed concrete plants of Holcim Romania are environmentally-friendly and the most modern technology permits the full reduction of dust and noise, and the recycling of fresh concrete residues.

"In a growing construction materials market, Holcim Romania plans to enlarge the range of services and to invest in the development of new solutions for environmentally-friendly technologies compliant with European Union regulations and norms on environmental protection," said Markus Wirth, Country Manager, Holcim Romania.

The most important value-added services offered by Holcim Romania are Holfresh and HolTrack. Holfresh is a special equipment for keeping the ready-mixed concrete fresh on the construction site for half an hour. HolTrack is a GPS-based system used for better organization of the transportation activities, through identification and avoidance of unforeseen situations, delays, route deviations, or other incidents.
