Initiated in 2005 by Holcim (Romania) and Corporate Dynamics International, the project "Build Your Future" takes place this year during the periods April 21-25 and June 09-14. The training and personal development sessions are organized for 120 students from the XIth grade in Alesd, Turda and Campulung.
The objective of the seminars within the "Build Your Future" programme is to empower, motivate and offer a vision on the future, and also models for finding the path in life for students in their senior years of high school education. The training sessions are interactive and practical, with various exercises and role playing.
"Being at the IVth edition, the "Build Your Future" programme is already a tradition. The content of the programme helps the high school students to discover values and principles needed for success, to consolidate their confidence and to make better use of their potential for shaping their way in life as they wish. Through our activities and projects of social responsibility we want to support the communities we are present in, and the young people have always been the focus of our attention because we count on them to take the lead one day," said Nicoleta Salajan, Human Resources Director of Holcim (Romania).
"Build your future" is a personal development programme, which offers high school students, during five interactive modules, knowledge on efficient communication and social networking, self assessment, career planning, efficient study and learning, social conduct, and CV writing. The sessions are conducted by the experts of Corporate Dynamics International and, at the end of the programme, each participant presents their personal development plan, based on the acquired knowledge.
"We address to a generation with an extraordinary potential, but greatly affected by the changes the society continues to go through. Attending the "Build Your Future" programme, the high school students will enhance their self esteem and take better decisions when planning their future. Through the content and the approach of the programme, we offer the participants a realist vision on the future and specific instruments for building their success," said Decebal Leonard Miron, Managing Partner of Corporate Dynamics International.
The project is promoted in high schools by posters and presentations made by representatives of Holcim (Romania). Because the number of young people eager to participate in this programme was higher than the number of places, the selection was performed, just like during the previous editions, through the essays in which the students described their own vision of their future, how they plan to achieve their objectives and, very important, they described which is their motivation for taking part into this programme.
