Holcim opened in Bucharest Progresul a cement terminal that will bring its products and services closer to its customers. Now, Holcim clients will receive their orders very quickly, from one to three hours maximum.
Holcim (Romania) SA is now able to deliver a wide range of its products, from all categories: from the bulk grey cement, concrete, mortars, to special road binders.
"Our goal is to continuously improve services to our customers. This is the main reason for our investment in a terminal that can deliver cement by responding very quickly to their orders. Thanks to the new terminal, every order, for important infrastructure projects or for small and middle-sized construction sites, can be honored in due time," said Kurt Habersatter, President & CEO Holcim (Romania).
The project started in March, this year, and was completed in August. The terminal became functional a few days ago, and was developed into Holcim's of Progresul Concrete and special binder plant.
The advantages of the project focus on the "express" deliveries - deliveries made in a very short time after taking over the orders. For Bucharest, the delivery time is from one hour to a maximum of three hours, according to the destination. Also, the range of products is very wide - in addition to the extensive range of concrete and mortars as well as special binders already produced in Progresul, the new terminal will ease express deliveries for bulk cement.
Nowadays, all projects are urgent. Therefore it is important to come up with a solution to respond quickly to the customers demands. In Transylvania, Turda terminal can take over the demands for Alesd cement plant. For the south of the country, Bucharest Progresul terminal will have the same purpose for cement the plant in Campulung.
