During the 5h edition of ConstructExpo, Holcim (Romania) launched the first Sustainable Development Report in Romania - a clear presentation of the way the company acts in our country.

Holcim (Romania) - a company following the principle of Sustainable Development, took the initiative to publish this report in order to offer to its clients, providers, public authorities, mass media representatives, and the general public - various information on Holcim's areas of activity.

"Our strategy to act in a sustainable way aims progress and the evolution of the company to meet the needs of the present generations without compromising the possibility of the future generations to satisfy their own needs. Worldwide, Holcim is a founding member of World Business Council for Sustainable Development, our company following the three pillars of this principle: economic growth, environmental protection and social responsibility. Locally, the Report launched by our company is a proof that this principle is not only a verbal commitment, but is also sustained by various actions developed in all our areas of activity", said Markus Wirth, General Manager Holcim (Romania).

Holcim (Romania) report includes information regarding the company key figures, management system, local strategy and objectives, but also various investments and actions regarding environmental protection. The report also provides information on the way the company undertakes social responsibility commitment, towards the company's partners and its employees.
