François Petry, General Director of Holcim Romania, appointed CEO Agreggates Industries, the subsidiary of LafargeHolcim in United Kingdom

 

Bucharest, November 12th, 2015 – François Petry, currently CEO of Holcim Romania, will be CEO Aggregates Industries - the subsidiary of LafargeHolcim in the United Kingdom - starting December 1st, 2015.
For the last two years, François, French, 48, led the Romanian subsidiary of Holcim in an historical moment that led to the creation of the world leader in the building materials industry – LafargeHolcim.  François guided Holcim Romania in its integration and transition period, which offered both challenges and great opportunities.

François Petry joined Holcim Romania as a CEO in February 2014, after being General Manager Aggregates at Holcim France since 2008. Before that, he worked in a road building and construction business for nine years and then for eight years as General Manager in the waste industry. On May 14th 2015, François was elected member of the Managing Board of the Foreign Investors’ Council – FIC and holds also the position of Chairman of the Romanian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (CCE-R) since October 2014.
François has a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Arts et Metiers, ParisTech, as well as an executive MBA from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC).
