Holcim (Romania) S.A. owns 2 cement plants in Campulung and Alesd, a grinding station and a cement terminal in Turda, 13 ecological ready-mix plants, 3 aggregates plants, 2 special binders plants and a cement terminal in Bucharest. Holcim (Romania) S.A. employs around 950 people.
The total value of investments made so far by Holcim on the local market since 1997 is almost EUR 700 million, an amount that includes the acquisitions undertaken to expand its presence in Romania. The most important project of the company was developed in Campulung, where Holcim Romania invested over EUR 265 million in upgrading the production of the cement plant.
During its 16 years presence in Romania, Holcim has developed new solutions, products and services, including transport of products and specialized laboratories. The Group brought numerous innovations on the local market, including the concept of environmental friendly ready-mix concrete plants. Holcim also extended its offer of solutions for co-processing wastes in Campulung and Alesd plants up to 100 types of wastes.
